Technical Support/Customer Service - Electronics - Fuel Management Industry   - posted 10th November 2021

We are looking for a motivated, customer focused technical support person to join our tech support team at our electronics company in Judea, Tauranga. We have a dedicated team of great people who are designing and manufacturing industry leading products utilised in the heavy transport fuel and fluid management industry.

This complex role involves providing technical support for our Everlink systems. You will be using multiple software suites to support and assist our distributors and their customers over the phone with installation and set up of the products and instruction on setting up and using the cloud based software. The range of technologies involved encompasses mobile communications, flow & level controls, RFID systems and wireless systems. Full training on our products would be given. You will also be involved in producing manuals and instructional videos on the use of the products and will give feedback to our software and hardware engineers on any product issues that arise, to help resolve them.

Ideally you would have tech support and customer service experience but having practical electrical, electronics or mechanical experience would be of huge advantage to you in securing this position. You would also have advanced computer skills, be familiar with Microsoft Office and be able to master new software suites quickly.

We are looking for a positive, proactive individual with exceptional people and communication skills. You will need an extremely good command of the English language and be able to work well with distributors in New Zealand and overseas, customers and other staff. You will have a professional approach and a strong work ethic.

While appealing to those currently working in IT, this position may also suit a technical electrician who is looking to move away from working on the tools, someone with fitter engineering experience or a person with prior experience working for an electronics manufacturer or service company.

This is a full time, permanent position. Your base working week will be 40 hours a week Monday to Fridays but some after hours phone support work will be required on a roster basis.
